What customers are saying about their new Red Line Traveler mandolins

It seems we’ve had quite an increased interest in our Red Line Traveler flat, Army Navy style mandolins lately. It’s always a bit of “needles and pins” while the builder waits to hear back from the customer, once the hard work is done, and the instrument has shipped.

When all goes well, you are pleased when your customer gives you positive feedback. Well, that happened not once, but twice today. Walnut seems to be a popular choice for these Travelers, and that’s what the back and side wood was on these two.

This e-mail, just in from Fred S., after receiving his third RedLine Traveler:

“Wandering Walnut looks magnificent. You’re right about the figure in the top: it has a neat bearclaw in it. Tuned it up and strummed a few chords and notes, and, again, you’re right about the volume: it’s there! Beautiful tone, graceful neck, and lovely snowflake inlays on the fingerboard: thank you for that. She is, indeed, a honey.”

And here’s just some of what Ken O. up in Alaska had to say earlier today after receiving his custom RedLine Walnut Traveler:

“I LOVE IT!! I really mean it man, what a great instrument!! Thanks again, I will happily play it for many years to come! My wife likes it better than my other mandolin!”

But Ken didn’t stop there, look here to see him playing his brand new Traveler on YouTube. Pretty amazing, especially when you consider that he couldn’t have had it out of the box for more than an hour or two before recording this…

    Steve,

Ken O’s video clip is great! He was having so much fun with “Never on a Sunday” I thought he was gonna slide into “Zorba the Greek” too.

What really comes through is his level of excitement. He’s not only happy with his new mandolin, he is proud of it!

As the owner of a Redline Reso (ser#004) I know the feeling. Not only do your instruments sound good, they’re made well, and they’re just plain beautiful.

It just makes you wanna show ‘em off!

Guess that’s what your OBSESSIVECOMPULSIVEDESIGN means.

    Keep it up,
    Dirk V.
